It's time for another show at SG1311!
As you may have heard or read in the paper, Studio Gallery 1311 is pleased to be hosting the Artists Gala Reception & Exhibition for the very first La Crosse Area Plein Air Painting event, "Between the Bluffs", on Saturday, September 21st from 6-9pm at the gallery. This event is organized by the La Crosse Arts Initiative and is the very first of its kind for the area. The week long event features over 20 area artists painting on location in and around La Crosse throughout the week. In addition, there are painting demonstrations and a "Quick Paint" contest that you can find details on at the links below. The week ends with the reception/exhibition where works will be on display and available for purchase. Awards will be presented, including a special award by Mayor Tim Kabat.
This is a great opportunity to come out and meet several of our regional artists, meet Mayor Kabat and the La Crosse Arts Initiative folks, see some great art, and add to your art collection (it is an inaugural event after all). Best of all, in addition to supporting our local artists, a portion of all proceeds from gallery sales will go to support the La Crosse Arts Initiative.
