A good foundation in seeing and drawing will be practiced and then translated into simple painting of objects. The important topics of local color, values, wet on dry, wet in wet, various washes, edge control, and glazing techniques will be covered. Several small projects utilizing still life, landscape, figure painting and simple portrait will be used to both illustrate the use of techniques but also leave the student with a framable painting. The last week will be devoted to a project entirely of the student’s choosing.

Cost/Registration: $200 for the entire series. a rate of $25/session  will be charged for drop-in students.  Contact Bob Witte (witte5730@aol.com, 608/386-1764). Class size will be limited to 8 students.
